About

Welcome to Love and Flourish! I’m so excited you are here and I'm looking forward to what this might bring! This blog is here to give you more positively in your life, many ways to improve your mental health and is a place where you can come to feel empowered and motivated.

Here I will share with you all things related to mental health, self-love, the power of the mind and maybe some other goodies that I feel passionate about.

I decided to create this blog in the hopes to help others, by sharing my experience with anxiety and depression, and things I have learnt through being really unhappy, to transforming myself into a happy and confident person (still getting there). I'm still learning and growing, and I'm not exactly where I want to be, but knowing there are people struggling with their mental health, I hope by sharing my journey can make others feel less alone in whatever they might be going through, and give people hope that it does get better. I do intend to share the good and the bad parts of my journey, becoming the person I want to be. I'll be here to support you and share the good stuff I'm learning about life.

A little about me

about

I’m Millie, 21 years young and trying to navigate my way through adult life (no really, I still feel like a 15 year old haha). I consider myself as a caring person who will always have the drive to do meaningful things for others. I have learnt a lot through some tough experiences and would love to share my new knowledge with you in the hope of helping those who need some inspiration and hope.

Within the past year I have been experiencing depression and anxiety that came on quite suddenly. I’m also experiencing a form of anxiety called ‘depersonalisation/derealisation’, which is a state of feeling like you are living in a dream and feeling very detached from your surroundings. It almost feels like you are numb to reality and not really here. I am still experiencing this feeling (not as severe as it has been), but I now understand what it is, have accepted it and know it will eventually go away. I share more about all of this in a blog post you can read here, which I hope will help some of you who are going through something similar. I am not an expert in mental health or any type of therapist who is qualified to give advice, but from my personal experience, I hope some things that have helped me can help you.

I would love for you to join me here and become a part of this positive community!
